Henley's Last Shower

We had Henley's final shower today with all of my girlfriends. It was more perfect than I ever could have imagined, down to every last detail. I'm so very thankful for these girls. They have been my support system and a huge part of my reason for not giving up when it would have been so easy to. Terry and I are so blessed with amazing friends and family in our lives and we are so excited for Henley to meet everyone.

Henley's 3rd Shower!

Today was Henley's 3rd shower given by my sister, grandmother, and mom. It was so much fun and Henley got a ton more great stuff. I am so grateful for the support from our friends and family!

Tiny Laundry

Terry had friends over today to watch the A&M game, so I decided to finally take the tags off of Henley's clothes/blankets/toys and wash them. I had a blast doing this by myself. It was so fun looking back through all her cute clothes and organizing them by sizes. I had to laugh at how tiny her clothes are- I'm so used to normal size human clothing that this seemed unreal to me! The biggest smile came when I cleaned out the lint filter, and all the lint was pink!! I'm used to dog hair in the filter! Mindi came over and kept me company for a little bit while I was organizing, which was nice considering I had lots of questions and she had answers!!

29 weeks, Braxton Hicks, and 4D Sono!

We had our 29 week appointment , and all was great with Henley. She still likes to play hide and seek when we are trying to find her heartbeat, which is really fun for me!! I've gained almost 25 pounds so far, but am trying to not worry about this as long as Henley is healthy. I'll figure out how to lose it once she is here. I am going to try to start eating a little better though, and maybe cutting back on the ice cream (insert huge frowny face here).

I've also been experiencing a tightening feeling in my tummy, usually just for a few seconds and then it goes away. It's not consistent, and doesn't really hurt- it's just more uncomfortable than anything. Turns out these are Braxton Hicks contractions, and are right on schedule! Not everyone experiences them, but those that do start to feel them around 27-29 weeks.

Now for the 4d Sono... She was NOT cooperative, but we didn't expect her to be. She decided today was yoga day, and had her feet and hands all the way up in front of her face. She weighs about 3.3 lbs and her heart rate was measuring 134bpm, which is great! We go back in 3 weeks for our next appointment and will do this again to see if we get some better pics. Here are a few from today...
Confirmation, again, that she is a girl!

3rd Trimester

We have made it to the 3rd trimester... somebody pinch me!! Time is just flying by, and I can't tell if that's good or bad! We still have so much to do before Henley's arrival!

Henley is starting to move around a lot. I can feel actual movement, not just kicks and jabs anymore. I stop and take it all in every single time I feel her. Terry makes fun of me because any time I'm at home, I have my shirt pulled up and my hands on my belly. I just love feeling her. I've waited so long for this and I am not going to miss one thing!! I've been feeling just fine, although it seems that some major tiredness and mild nausea may be around the corner. I've heard that your 1st trimester symptoms can sometimes come back in the 3rd trimester, and I've started feeling nauseous on occasion. I am hoping that since I never actually got sick in the 1st trimester that the same thing happens now.

As far as my meds go, I'm still on the Lovenox shot daily (this will continue for 6 weeks after Henley is born), and am taking my prenatal, folic acid, and baby aspirin. We are planning to do the 3d sono on 9/18, then starting on 10/7 (32 weeks), I start going for weekly sonograms due to my MTHFR gene mutation. They will be checking my fluid levels to make sure she has enough fluid among other things.

Her nursery is still a major work in progress, but I'll try to post some pics soon.
