First Sonogram- And We Have A Heartbeat!

We had our first sonogram ever this morning. We saw the most beautiful tiny heartbeat and the baby was measuring 6w2d. Today was truly one of the most incredible days of my life. It was so amazing to see that. There is a second sac that is currently empty, but we will check it next week to see if anything shows up. They found the source of the bleeding/spotting I have been having. I have a subchorianic hemorrhage (SCH), which from what I gather is fancy for a blood clot that is in the uterus. They are very common in early pregnancy and typically resolve themselves, but at the same time, there is nothing they can do about it but put you on bed rest and hope it goes away. It can cause a miscarriage if it gets too big, but right now it is relatively small so I have been put on modified bed rest as much as possible in hopes that it will heal itself. We continue to pray every day that our baby keeps on growing.

I've been put on Lovenox (a daily blood thinner injection), dexamethasone, prenatal vitamin, baby aspirin, and folic acid. It's been really fun trying to remember to take these every day!
